With my husband and our three teenagers, our cat and our Australian Shepherd I live close to the German-Austrian border. In addition to my professional activities, I love acrylic painting and writing novels and poems. As a passionate cook and nature lover I enjoy discovering the city of Salzburg and ist unique culture. On weekends you can find me hikingin the alps with my Australian Shepherd dog, in winter with the sled dogs and in summer on a long-distance hiking trail.
With CLP - Consulting for Legal Professionals - I contribute to the improvement of lawyers education through consulting, training and coaching. Since 2016, my team and I at CLP have been training attorneys and lawyers in Legal Coaching - an ICF coach training course based on international standards that enhances the communication skills and performance of lawyers.
At the heart of the project is the need to communicate specialist knowledge better and more convincingly with the help of additional skills thus making a greater impact.
Communication skills are at the heart of the legal profession and should be taught to lawyers as early as the basic training stage. At the same time, being a lawyer is viewed as a so-called liberal profession, without the associated topics such as business development, management and project management being developed accordingly.
That's why I started CLP – for creating a link between the legal training and the management consultancy for law firm owners. Lawyers should be optimally prepared for their everyday work. This business is no place for beginners.
As president of the ICF Germany, it is a matter close to my heart to show international quality standards in coaching. Coachees are often lost in a rather confusing provider market. ICF certifications enable prospective coachees to find a suitable professional coach who acts in accordance with ethical standards. With our certifications as an association we ensure with international standards that coaching is a quality product with transparent, easily measurable indicators for the client.
CLP's coaching training complies with ICF standards and guarantees legal professionals practicing legal coaching an education of globally recognized professionalism and sustainability.
With ICF Germany I have led the German Chapter team since 2016 (since 2019 as President Past), which won the top 10 Chapter of the International Professional Association for coaches with about 30,000 members in 140 countries worldwide. During my presidency I´m the link between the German Chapter and the International Association. I love working in an international community of Chapter Leaders and coaches and shaping the strategic plan of the worldwide professional association, the quality brand of ICF certifications and quality coaching in general, internationally and in each individual country. I work closely with the other german speaking ICF Chapter presidents (Austria and Switzerland) develop the language in the ICF world, support the eastern europe Chapter and especially the ICF Chapter of the EU to shape the regulation of coaching.
As President (Past) of the ICF Germany I stand for quality standards and ethical guidelines in coaching!
As a delegate in the Round Table of German-speaking Coaching Associations (www.roundtable-coaching.eu), which represents over 7,000 German-speaking professional coaches, I design quality coaching in the German-speaking world together with the other more than 15 coaching associations in the German-speaking part of the European Union.
Our brochure "Quality Management in Individual Coaching" shows how ICF quality standards in coaching can be messured.
Together with the Coachingtag (www.coachingtag.com) we annually organize one of the most important congresses and trade fairs of the coaching industry in german speaking countries. Since 2018 we at ICF Deutschland have been presented the Prism Award annually for special coaching programmes in companies, which I have initiated and managed.
My passion is supporting lawyers. Growing up, I always dreamed of becoming a lawyer and owner of a law firm. In the first years of college I worked in many different law firms and legal departments in order to gain a wider perspective.
My international and longterm experience in the legal profession around the world enables me to start where standard ends - and further development begins.
Globalization and digitalization demand growth and innovation. As partner of the Global Leaders Summit and speaker and delegate of the ICF-Global Leaderships Forum, I know that this is a necessary development for companies to remain competitive. The key topic is Leadership Development. Unfortunately, the human factor is often underestimated when it comes to the development of a company. Yet it is precisely the employees and managers who support the company. With my profound expertise, I advise companies from a wide range of industries as well as professional associations and interest groups and act as a keynote speaker for the Global Women in Leadership Summit at universities and congresses.

In contrast to purely legal professional advice, legal coaching is the accompaniment and 1 support of the client by an experienced lawyer or attorney according to the quality standards developed by the professional associations for coaching, with a focus on the interests and needs of the client, explains Dr. Geertje Tutschka in this article for the Legal Revolution 2018.
